Malindi History

The town became a key Islamic center along the East African coast.

A unique Swahili culture emerged—combining African traditions with Islamic religion, Arabic architecture, and Indian Ocean trade.

Malindi was an important port, trading in ivory, gold, slaves, and spices with Arabia, Persia, India, and China.

We'll sail in the warm, crystal-clear waters of our sea, you'll see dolphins and swim surrounded by the numerous fish that live in the national park.
